Decide with your fiance where you’d like to be married. Do you want an outdoor ceremony, or would you prefer being married in a church? Do you want the ceremony and the reception held at the same location?
I’d recommend securing either your ceremony site or your reception site first, then booking vendors afterwards. Once you have secured your wedding date, booking subsequent vendors becomes much easier!
We had the pleasure of working with Pastor Travis Armstrong and having Lynn Laramy as our wedding coordinator.
Travis conducted four separate premarital counseling sessions, and Lynn literally took care of every single ceremony-related detail.
Grace Church is our home church, and we had originally wanted to get married in the chapel, but they were booked on all the days that we preferred. However, the fact that they were willing to do an off-site wedding was wonderful, and we were very pleased with how the ceremony turned out. Very Christ-centered message, just like we wanted!
We got married at the Congregational Church of Excelsior and worked with Karen Jacobson. Right from the start, Karen was so easy to work with. It was wonderful that The CCoE allowed us to bring in our own pastor and wedding coordinator, but use their beautiful church as our ceremony venue. The bridal suite was plenty big, and allowed enough room for the ladies to be comfortable and relax while waiting for the ceremony to begin. The center aisle was perfect for the ceremony and the church decorated itself with it’s quaint charm 🙂
